Machine Knitting (Rabbit Hole)

It started innocently enough – I acquired a hobby knitting machine (LK 150), in order to knit up sock blanks with my cashmere to do some gradation dying…Then someone gave me an SK 360 and a Bulky machine, and I was a goner.  I confess that I do much, much more machine knitting in my head than I do in real life, but I’m getting more comfortable with the process.  Main focus, as it was when I first learn anything, is how to undo my mistakes.  I’m getting there.

Just finished the first of five Crescent* shawls, each in a different hand-dyed color.  Only minor mods – chiefly the hand knit-on edging.  All in all, I’m pretty pleased.

*Crescent, by Linda Fiendly, is available free, on Ravelry.
